Use by other Applications
The GPSMan command line mode opens up new possibilities for it is
being used by other applications. At present the following
collaboration link has been set up:
- Xastir (or its Sourceforge
page) receives and plots
APRS position packets. It is being used in coordinating the work of
mountain rescue teams. GPSMan and gpsmanshp
are needed for downloading GPS tracks/waypoints/routes from a Garmin
receiver into Xastir, and converting them to Shapefile format.
